Why Offer This Service?
We have lived on Prince of Wales Island......and we know about the challenges of living in Southeast Alaska!!! We have experienced the frustration of trying to order products online, only to find out that the seller either does NOT ship to Alaska….or if they do, the cost of Air Freight charged by most package carriers makes buying the product way too expensive. We can’t count how many times, as Alaskans, we have wished the seller would just offer the option of shipping our purchase through the Post Office!!! Although our hearts will always remain in Alaska, in March of 2015, we made the move down to the Lower 48. Since April of 2015, while living in Utah, we have worked full-time as professional online sellers through our stores on Amazon and eBay. With our Amazon and eBay businesses, we receive and ship packages every day at our facility located at the base of picturesque Mt. Olympus, in Holladay, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. We have the capacity to receive your package sent through FedEx, UPS, On-trac, DHL, or any other package shipper......and then forward it on to you in Alaska through the U.S. Post Office, often at significantly lower rates. How It Works If you are trying to order a product online, and if at the end of the shopping cart process you find that either the seller does not ship to Alaska, or you find that the estimated shipping costs seem excessive (most likely the result of Second-Day Air shipping rates), check to see if shipping your package through "My Package 2 Alaska" can save you time and money. Typically, going through "My Package 2 Alaska" and the Post Office can save you money. To calculate the costs of forwarding your purchase through "My Package2Alaska" and the Post Office, use the following steps: #1 - Use the link on the right (below the slideshow pictures) to open a new page with the USPS Postage Price Calculator app, to estimate the postage from our facility in Holladay, Utah, using zip code 84117, to the zip code for your home town Post Office in Alaska. You will need to complete the info in boxes 1 thru 4 (just enter an estimated date in box 3), and in box 5 select "Package" if all of your dimensions are UNDER 12 inches -OR- select "Large Package" if any of the dimensions are MORE than 12 inches. NOTE: On the seller’s website, you can often find the dimensions (Height x Weight x Length), and shipping weight of your package being sent from the seller in order to estimate the USPS package rate. #2 – Add our “Flat-Rate Five” handling charge. ***No matter what size or weight your package is, we will process it for a flat-rate fee of $5.00 dollars per package.*** #3 – Is the total cheaper, and/or is it more convenient to use our service as compared to your options with the seller? After you have purchased your item and addressed the delivery to arrive at our facility, please fill out the Information and Authorization form with:
1. Your name
2. Your receiving Post Office address and zip code
3. Provide phone number(s) if you would like us to be able to contact you by phone and/or text.
4. An email address we can use to communicate with you regarding arrival, condition, any questions, billing, etc.
5. Providing a tracking number will help us track your package and anticipate it's arrival.
6. In the Package Information Box, tell us things like the approximate date your package should arrive; the carrier, i.e. UPS, FedEx, On-Trac, etc.; if it is a fragile item; any special handling or re-packaging instructions; and any other information you think we should know about this incoming shipment.
When your package arrives at our facility:
1. We will inspect your package for damage / box condition, and then notify you of its arrival by email, text, or phone call, according to your preferred contact method.
2. In our experience, the majority of packages arrive in acceptable condition.....however, occasionally there is damage caused by the carrier during the shipping process. If we detect or suspect any damage in shipping from the seller to our address, we will notify you immediately (and forward you pictures of the package), so that you can decide whether to initiate a return to the seller or whether to continue forwarding the package to your address in Alaska. We will be available to help you return a damaged item, help you coordinate with the shipper's Damage Claims Department if necessary, or even just make sure your purchase is OK to place in a larger box and continue shipping to your Alaskan address.
3. We will measure the actual shipping dimensions (Height x Width x Length), along with the weight the package, and then calculate exact postage costs from our Post Office to your Post Office.
NOTE: You will gain the cost advantage of having your postage calculated at the "Online" discount rate!!!
4. We will then send you an email or text with the total postage and handling costs ("Flat-Rate Five") plus any special handling fees for damage situations), and a link to our PayPal payments page where you can use your PayPal account, or a major debit / charge card to complete payment.
5. When we get your authorization and payment, we will then print the shipping label with prepaid postage, then deliver your package to the Holladay Post Office, and get it on the way to you in Alaska.

How Do I Know I Can Trust You With My Package?
First, our goal is to provide Personalized Service, which will include the availability of communicating with you through emails, text messages, and phone calls. When we send your package through the U.S. Postal System, we will give you a tracking number so that both of us know we can go back to the Post Office and have them trace the package, if necessary.
